Trying your best to get rid of mice and rats in your home, but still find them in living spaces and other areas you don’t want them to be, some of which don’t have power sources? What’s to be done? Get our MOUSE OUT Rodent Sonic-Repel Max Battery Operated unit. It creates powerful ultrasonic sound waves that humans and most pets can’t hear, but bothers mice and rats to the point that they won’t venture into these acoustically protected areas. And because unit is powered by 3 AA batteries and the unit has 5 times the coverage of a traditional plug-in unit (covers 232 m2 [2500 sq ft]), you can place the unit anywhere and protect places like homes, sheds or covered outbuildings, garages, cottages, farm buildings, private boats and RVs and stables. How to use Wilson MOUSE OUT Rodent Sonic-Repel Max Battery Operated

Battery installation

Step 1
Remove battery cover on the back of the unit by pushing down on the tab and lifting out the cover.

Step 2
Install three (3) AA batteries (alkaline recommended) making sure the positive and negative pole markings on the inside of the unit match up with the battery markings.

Step 3
Replace battery cover by sliding the bottom into place first and then push down into its original sealed position.

Sound test

Step 1
Push the ON/OFF slide switch on the side of the unit to the ON position.

Step 2
The RED LED light above the switch should glow red, indicating power is activated.

Step 3
Test the ultrasonic sirens by pushing the TEST button on the top of the unit down for 3 seconds; you will hear a siren-like noise emitting from the front speakers. Depressing the TEST button brings the ultrasonic sirens down to a human-audible level so you can confirm the product is working.

Ultrasonic device placement
Once powered on, place the device where you need it with the speaker grill aimed at known problem areas. Ultrasonic sound is highly directional and will be reflected by hard surfaces to literally fill a room with the sound pressure.

You can move the unit from place to place as often as you like, and as needed.

Tips

Placement of the device is important.

Ultrasonic waves travel in a straight line and bounce off non-absorbing materials to fill a room. Hard surfaces such as walls, doors, appliances, etc. will reflect the ultrasonic waves.

Sound-absorbing materials such as carpets, drapes and soft furniture will reduce the ultrasonic range of the device. Therefore, do not place the device behind drapes or other sound absorbing material.

Ultrasounds cannot penetrate through hard or solid objects. Rodents behind these types of objects will not be repelled.

Warnings

  • While the sound can’t be heard by humans, pets, farm animals, birds or fish, research proves it is irritating to pets such as hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and rabbits. Do not use this unit in rooms or areas where these types of pets can be found.

It is a reusable product. If it’s not working, try replacing batteries. If the unit still doesn’t work, dispose of it the way you would with any other electronic device.

Frequently asked questions about Wilson MOUSE OUT Rodent Sonic-Repel Max Battery Operated

It generates ultrasonic sound waves that create an acoustically hostile environment that mice and rats don’t want to venture into.Once powered on, two one-second ultrasonic siren bursts are emitted from the front speakers every three minutes. Each burst is at 40 kHZ (+/- 10 kHZ), a frequency range that is audible to rodents (rats, mice, squirrels) and other pests, but inaudible to humans, cats, dogs and birds.

These ultrasonic bursts are emitted at a powerful 120 dB level, loud enough to be a discomfort to unwanted rodent visitors and discourage them from staying within earshot of your new ultrasonic rodent repeller.

The area covered by the ultrasonic waves may be larger when there are more reflective surfaces where the ultrasonic device is placed. Ultrasound waves cannot penetrate hard or solid objects. Rodents behind these types of objects will not be repelled. The portability of your new product allows you to freely and frequently move the unit so the ultrasound waves have access to those areas. Note that sound-absorbing materials such as carpets, drapes and soft furniture will also reduce the ultrasonic range of the device. Ultrasound will be stronger near the device and in the room where the device is placed.

Yes. It generates ultrasonic sound waves that are too high for humans and most pets to hear. As well, there are no poisons, mechanical traps, nor mouse disposal issues when you use MOUSE OUT Rodent Sonic-Repel Max Battery Operated. It simply keeps them from entering that area.
