Mouse Traps (Smart trap)

Former name: Wilson® PREDATOR® SMART-TRAP

When you know you have to get rid of the mice that are plaguing your home and its surroundings, it’s time to get smart! What you need is MOUSE OUT Mouse Traps (Smart trap). So why are they smart? Because the trap indicates when the trap is set. Because it indicates when a mouse is caught. Because they’re safe for children since they can’t get their little fingers caught in them. And, of course, they kill mice immediately with a heavy-duty spring action. All you have to do then is dispose of the trap with the dead rodent inside.

Frequently asked questions about Wilson MOUSE OUT Mouse Traps (Smart trap)

The trap has to be baited and set, and placed along walls where you suspect activity. The bait attracts the mouse, and as it attempts to feed on the bait, the mouse trips the spring inside the enclosed trap, and kills it instantly. Once the trap says “Mouse Caught”, you throw the trap & mouse in household garbage. Never handle a dead mouse with this disposable trap.

Always put traps in areas where there is a lot of activity. If you see mouse droppings, this is a sign that traps should be placed in that room. Place traps along the walls and edges of your room. Mice aren’t likely to go through the centre of the room unless they are being chased. Instead, they tend to scurry along the edges of your room. Put traps along the walls near entry points like doors and windows. Move your traps to different areas if nothing has been caught within a few days of putting them in place. Sometimes you have to experiment with placement to figure out what will work inside and outside your home. Stick with the same type of bait once you find something that works. This is essential to trapping as many mice as possible and ridding your home of an infestation quickly. Refresh bait every week if it does not lure mice.

Mouse traps can also be used as a preventative option, in areas by your garage, basement or attic year-round so you don’t end up with an infestation. These traps’ bait only needs to be refreshed monthly. Use mouse traps around the edges of your home and entry points to keep mice out.

Use in suspended ceilings, attics, kitchens and food preparation areas, closets, garages and outbuildings, etc.

These are two different methods of controlling mice. MOUSE OUT Mouse Bait Station poisons them and is slower in controlling mice, in that it may take 3-7 days before they die. The advantage is that multiple mice can keep feeding and returning to the same bait station, which allows for a broader control. The MOUSE OUT Mouse Traps (Smart Trap) attracts mice and when tripped, kills one mouse at a time immediately.

Although one mouse is not considered an infestation, you need to consider that a single female can have 5-10 litters a year, with 6-8 babies each time. A newborn female mouse can start breeding at 6 weeks of age.It is important to nip the problem before it escalates!
