Then BUG-X OUT® Insecticide Miticide with 50% Malathion is right up your alley. This product is a liquid insecticide and miticide in concentrate form, designed for outdoor use. It must be mixed with varying amounts of water to combat different insects. This makes it very versatile, effectively killing more than 20 insects including aphids, beetles, cabbage worms, caterpillars, codling moths, currant fruit worms, leafhoppers, leaf miners, mealybugs, mites, tent caterpillars, whiteflies and more. It can be used on vegetables, fruits, flowers, ornamental plants, flowers, trees and shrubs.

How to use Wilson® BUG-X OUT® Insecticide Miticide with 50% Malathion

On vegetables, fruits, flowers and ornamentals

Step 1
Mix 10 mL (2 teaspoonfuls) of the insecticide with 3 L of water.

Step 2
Spray to wet all surfaces of foliage at first appearance of insects.

Step 3
Repeat application as required or at 7-day intervals. Do not apply within 7 days of harvest of edible crops. Leaf lettuce within 14 days.

 

Spruce budworm

Mix 20 mL (4 teaspoonfuls) of the insecticide with 3 L of water and spray as soon as larvae appear.

 

Clover mites, ants and millipedes

To treat only outdoor structural foundations

Step 1
Mix 60 mL (4 tablespoonfuls) of the insecticide with 1 L of water.

Step 2
Spray exterior walls, around buildings and a 1 m wide path surrounding the foundation.

 

Mosquitoes

Step 1
Mix 20 mL (4 teaspoonfuls) of the insecticide with 3 L of water.

Step 2
Spray on 40 m2 of shrubs.


 

Tips

  • Spray flowers in late evening.
  • Can be used on fruits and vegetables up to one week before harvest.

Warnings

  • Injury may occur to African violet, crassula, fern, petunia, Sabina and Canaerti juniper, red maple, McIntosh and Cortland apples, Bosc and Bartlett pears, and Ribier grapes.
  • Avoid application of this product when winds are gusty.

Do not reuse empty container. Wrap in newspaper and dispose of empty container with household garbage.

Keep in original container during storage. Isomalathion, a toxic metabolite of malathion forms when malathion product is stored at elevated temperatures or for extended periods of time. Malathion product must be stored in a cool (< 23 °C), dry, well-ventilated place away from seed, fertilizer or other pesticides.

General precautions

Humans

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Harmful if swallowed.
  • Avoid inhaling spray mist and contact with skin and eyes.
  • Wear rubber gloves when handling this product.
  • Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking or using tobacco.
  • Remove contaminated clothing and wash before use

 

Hazards to humans

Can cause irritation to eyes. Can be harmful if ingested.

 

If on skin or clothing

Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes.

 

If in eyes

Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses if present after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.

 

If swallowed

Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to by a poison control centre or doctor. Take container, label or product name and P.C.P. Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention.

 

In every case, call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.
